The 4th Mindanao Caving Forum will be held at the Laak Camp site Comval Province, North of Davao, from 1st to 5th October, 2009. This is a new GetWet sport and a must for caving enthusiasts.

The Philippine Kayaking Series 2009 continues with the third leg Explore Cebu to Bohol from 27th November - 3rd December. The Cebu to Bohol leg of the kayaking series will cover approximately 125 kilometers in marathon races over four days and there will be Novice kayaking races and Kayaking Clinics at each destination along the route, so that new paddlers can be initiated in the delights of the sport of kayaking.

At the IDBF World Dragon Boat Racing Championships in Prague, at the end of August, 2009, Team Philippines broke their own World record and firmly established the Philippines as the premier dragon boat racing nation in the 200-meter distance category.

Team Philippines set the previous World record in Sydney, Australia, in 2007. In Prague they shaved almost two seconds off their Sydney dragon boat racing World record and set the new bar at 40.03 seconds, for the 200 meter Premier Mixed category, beating Team China by just one tenth of a
