Wakeboarding Batangas: Asian Wake Park Tour 2010

The annual Asian Wake Park Tour 2010 comes to Calatagan, Batangas, in November to Lago de Oro wakeboarding park. This is the third and final leg of the 2010 Asian Wake Park Tour and it will to be an action filled event with top professional wakeboard riders from across the Asian region.
The Lago de Oro cable ski facility is the first in the Philippines and together with the Deca Wakeboarding Park in Davao and the Camsur Waterstports Complex (CWC) in Pili, Naga, makes the Philippines one of the most popular wakeboarding destinations in Asia.
Calatagan is just an hour and a half South from Manila, so to visit Asian Wake Park Tour 2010 on the weekend of 27th & 28th November is easy if you want to commute or there is accommodation available at the adjacent Lao de Oro Beach Resort. Free practice is offered on Friday 26th November with the main competitions starting on the Saturday.
The professional wakeboard riders, participating in the Asian Wake Park Tour 2010 event, will vie for valuable points in the Asian Wakeboard Association 2010 tour rankings and cash prizes. The coincident Lago Friendship Games for amateur wakeboard riders offers chances to win Cable Ski memberships at Lago de Oro, trophies and wakeboarding gear from Stoked Inc.
There are nine divisions in the competition but to enter the professional division you must have been resident in Asia for at least one year prior to the event. Entrance fees are Php 2,500 (USD 60) for Professional Divisions and only Php 1,000 (USD 25) for other Divisions. Riders will be judged on Obstacles (30%), Flat Tricks (30%) and Composition (40%). Prizes for qst, 2nd and 3rd places in each Professional Division are: Pro Womens Wakeboard: USD 450 / 300 / 150; Pro Mens Wakeboard: USD 750 / 500 / 250; and, Pro Wakeskate: USD 750 / 500 / 250.
