The next leg of the National Drag Racing Championship will be held at Clark Field, Angeles City, Pampanga, on 22nd August. The exact location is behind the Clark Expo on the North side of the former Clark Air Force Base. This particular race session should determine the Philippine National Drag Racing Champion for 2009.
For such a high-octane motor sport it is interesting that a relatively low-octane product, San Mig Coffee, sponsors National Drag Racing Championship. But sponsor it they do, along side (more appropriately) Yokohama and Aeromed.
Drag racing (and other high-octane motor sports, ) are organised regularly at Clark Field, Angeles City, and Rosario, Batangas, by the Batangas Racing Circuit. The Drag racing season usually runs from February to July but this year the racing season has been extended because of bad weather in July. If you feel the need for speed and power then you can find out more from the Batangas Racing Circuit website, which covers both venues, or come and visit the National Drag Racing Championship in Clark Field on 22nd August.
Drag racing and other motor sports, including Grand Touring “GT” racing, motor cycle racing, motocross and kart racing, can also be enjoyed at motor sports venues at: Kart Zone, Cebu; Go-Kart, Subic Bay; Kart Trak Enchanted Kingdom, Santa Rosa; Carmona Race Track, Carmona; Motocross, SM Bicutan, Parañaque.
