Finally, a new yacht club has opened in the Philippines: Busuanga Yacht Club. Located on Busuanga Island, Palawan, the Busuanga Yacht Club is attached to the Puerto Del Sol Resort, in the municipality of Conception, on the southwest corner of Busuanga.
If you are sailing, the Busuanga Yacht Club offers a perfect stopover on routes leading to either, the East or West coast Palawan passage to/from East Malaysia or, cruising the beautiful waters of the Palawan archipelago.
The Busuanga Yacht Club offers no less than fifteen swing moorings and, in the adjacent Puerto Del Sol Resort, you can while-away your day waiting for a jeepney to resupply your galley with essential vitals from Coron town.
When you tie up to a Busuanga Yacht Club mooring you can expect to be able to refill your water tanks with very fresh spring water; good food and cold drinks are available ashore (Puerto Del Sol resort), as is a mechanic to assist with any strange noises that may need silencing in the engine room. Also, the resort staff can provide specific information about cruising the area and exploring not only Busuanga Island but also the entire Calamianes Island group and Northern Palawan.
The Busuanga Yacht Club is a stone’s throw from Calauit Game Preserve and Wildlife Sanctuary and just a short sail from the famous El Nido Resort and surrounding islands.
Fancy a night ashore? the Puerto Del Sol Resort has good rooms for rent, with modern resort amenities. Serious quantities of food or fuel will require a trip overland to Coron town (or just send your order) – allow at least a day to receive these supplies.
