Updated 4th October - Manila: This event Postponed to 19/20 February, 2011. The Kayak Explore Philippines kayaking series set off again for their second major event in 2010 at Ayucyucan, Mercedes, Camarines Norte. This will be a more extreme kayaking event than most of their previous outings because, in November, the Pacific coast of the Philippines receives the steady northeast monsoon breezes - creating large swells and rollers along the beaches. An additional attraction will be to try your hand at kayak-surfing, if the rollers are rolling in.

According to the organizers they already have enough kayakers to fill almost half the kayaks available and because of the potentially rough conditions they will be limiting the races to 25 tandem-kayaks only. So if you want to get you and your partner wet in an ocean kayak on the Philippine Pacific coast then you had better sign up fast.

The first ever Kayak Explore Anvaya Cove / Subic Bay 25 Km Kayaking Marathon event will be held here this May, to highlight the natural beauty of the entire Subic Bay area. This kayak marathon event is the latest in the Philippine Kayaking Series, which has already taken kayaking enthusiasts to One Hundred Islands, Corregidor Island, Cebu & Bohol.

In addition to the 25 Km marathon event, there will also be: novice races, kayaking clinics (to train first time kayakers) and presentations on the creatures that frequent the beaches of Subic Bay, including the Pawikan (Sea Turtle), which regularly use the Subic Bay's beaches as places to lay their eggs.
