For the second year running the Anvaya Cove Resort and Nature Club will be hosting the start of the Kayak Explore Anvaya Cove-Zambales event. This is the first kayaking event of 2011 in the Kayak Philippines Series, and it is set to be bigger and more engaging than its well attended predecessor in 2010.
In 2011, Kayak Explore Anvaya Cove-Zambales will take paddlers from the almost pristine Anvaya Cove residential resort development, at the southern extremity of Subic Bay Freeport, across the mouth of Subic Bay and into the potentially wilder waters along the Zambales coast – in June the waters off Subic Bay and Zambales will be either, glassy smooth or, whipped into a frenzy by the start of the habagat (southwest m

The 1st Annual Philippines Phun Phestival is about to take off in Subic Bay. Spanning three weeks it is an extravagant festival of sports - from the highest to the lowest. The big attraction is skydiving, offering the perceptibly safer (for beginners) tandem-skydiving opportunity over Subic Bay International Airport. According to the organisers they have invited a host of famous names to jump with them and many have accepted the invitation.
The Philippines Phun Phestival event will encompass not only skydiving but also: parasailing, jet skiing, kite boarding (kite surfing), para-ascension and scuba diving. Pretty much everything in fact that you could possibly do to pump the adr

Across the Internet there are a lot of websites promoting adventure holidays / adventure vacations but there are actually very few companies focusing on Philippine adventure holidays, and even fewer that offer more than a couple of adventure sports within a given package tour, so Australian based Aware Adventures is somewhat unique and deserves a mention.
Aware Adventures offer Philippine adventure holidays, starting in the heart of the Visayas, and take adventurers from Cebu to Bohol Island to Camiguin Island to Cagayan de Oro and back to Cebu. Over a period of twelve days adventure sports included: white water rafting, ziplining, rappelling, climbing, swimming, trekking, camping, caving, abseiling, kayaking, mountain biking and sno

Gliding in the Philippines became a reality on Sunday, December 13, 2009, when a group of gliding enthusiasts wrote a small piece of aviation history. Finally, after two years of preparation, what is believed to be the first flight of a glider (sailplane) in the Philippines occurred at Nampicuan, Nueva Ecija.
Two gliders were launched from the 800 meter grass runway using a fabricated glider winch. German glider pilot and prime mover, Rolf Dunder, took the first flight, which saw a single seat Ka-8 soaring over the Luzon countryside for 1 hour and 40

Flying in the Philippines by microlight / ultralight aircraft is the latest adventure sport we have experienced in Angeles City, Pampanga; Cebu Pacific Air may offer Go-Lite fares but a microlight / ultralight experience puts you in touch with Mother Nature in a way that only a true adventure sport can do.
One sunny morning last week I took that chance to drop by the Woodland Airpark, home of the Angeles City Flying Club, about ten minutes off the North Luzon Expressway, near Angeles City. Arriving at the Angeles City Flying Club I discovered three hangers st
