The Deca Wakeboarding Park Davao is open for business. While traveling South from downtown Davao City to the Philippine Eagle Foundation, we visited the town of Mintal to see how far the Deca Wakeboarding Park had progressed since August 2009.

The facility is operational and, according to the Deca Wakeboarding Park’s Sales & Marketing Manager, Ms. Kisses Rañeses, people have been enjoying the wakeboarding in Mintal since 16th December. In fact they are queuing up to go wakeboarding every day. Kisses said that the Deca Wakeboarding Park will be the venue for the Waterski and Wakeboard World Cup Finals 2010 and the Asian wakeboarding championship, 18th - 21st November, 2010.

ORIGINAL TEXT: Opening a the end of July is a new wakeboarding park in Davao City. The Deco Wakeboarding Park is the largest wakeboarding park in South East Asia, with reportedly seven hectares of wakeboarding lake.

Located in Barangay Mintal, Davao City, the Deca Wakeboarding Park is the latest project of Chris Tan’s Xtreme Wake Inc. Chris Tan and Sherilyn Reyes have been coincidentally promoting the sport of wakeboarding for some time now and their ability to attract sufficient investment for this wakeboarding park in Davao City (and a similar facility in Clark / Angeles City, Pampanga) indicates a resilient tourist based economy,

Taal Lake is now on the Internet with its own webcam.

Last year we introduced you to MyCam-Asia.tv - a free travel services website that provides real-time advertising and promotion for tourist destinations around Asia. Yesterday MyCam-Asia.tv announced the installation of their latest IP camera (webcam) in the grounds of the Taal Lake Yacht Club, Taal Lake, Batangas.

The view from the Taal Lake webcam shows the northwest vent of Taal volcano, the one that most people assume (incorrectly) is the main crater of Taal volcano, and the volcano tours boats of the Taal Lake Yacht Club . . . ready in waiting to take tourists on volcano tours.

The 2009 Wakeboard World Series leaps into action in Camarines Sur, Philippines, on 25th through 29th March. The 2009 WWA Wake Park Worlds in Camarines Sur, is the first of five international championship events organised each year by the World Wakeboard Association (WWA).
